The Person Behind the Jersey
Michael Jett is a student-athlete, young author, and member of the Class of 2030 at Saint John’s Catholic Prep in Maryland. As a point guard and shooting guard, he is passionate about basketball, teamwork, leadership, and getting better every day. Beyond athletics, he is committed to academic excellence, personal growth, and making a positive impact on others.
His journey has also been shaped by the loss of his father, an experience that inspired him to write Playing Without Dad. Through basketball, education, writing, and faith, Michael is learning that life’s challenges do not have to set the limits of his future.

Playing Without Dad is a personal story about growing up after losing a father while still chasing your dreams. Through his life as a student-athlete, Michael explores grief, family, determination, and finding hope in hard seasons. He wrote it so other kids and teens who have lost a parent feel understood, encouraged, and less alone.
